The tour kicks off in north-east France on July 5th and makes it’s way down south, passing through the Languedoc towards the end of the second week.

Stage 15 finishes in the nearby medieval city of Carcassonne on Sunday 20th July, followed by a rest day on the 21st, where teams will relocate to Montpellier, only 45 mins from Marseillan.

Stage 16 rolls out of Montpellier on Tuesday 22nd, heading north through the Hérault region to the ‘Giant of Provence’ – Mont Ventoux – where the peloton faces a 15.7km climb, averaging 8.7%, up to the famed summit at 1910m.
